Little is known about the frequency and seriousness of bullying abuse in the more than 17000 nursing homes in the U.S. Pilot data suggest that the scale and scope of resident abuse is high in nursing homes. This study will use vignette methodology to assess both the severity and frequency of bullying. Nurses´ aides who provide 80-90% of the direct care to nursing home residents will be the primary source of data for this study.
