Julie Hudak serves as Director of Finance and Operations and is a member of the UCSUR leadership team. In this role, she works closely with leadership to strengthen operational infrastructure, align financial strategy with organizational priorities, and develop systems that support collaboration.
Julie brings more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education administration, with expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and organizational operations. Prior to joining UCSUR, she served as Director of Business and Administration for the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts at Duquesne University, where she oversaw a $20 million budget spanning 18 academic departments and centers. In this role, she led complex budgeting processes, guided financial decision-making, and partnered with leadership to support key strategic initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Julie served as Business Manager for Duquesne University’s School of Leadership and Professional Advancement, where she managed financial and administrative operations and contributed to key strategic initiatives, including program development, international partnerships, and externally funded projects. She is known for her ability to lead complex projects, improve operational efficiency, and serve as a trusted partner to faculty, staff, and leadership.
Throughout her career, Julie has demonstrated a strong commitment to mentorship and team development, providing guidance and support to administrative staff across departments. Her leadership approach emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and building effective systems that enable others to succeed.
Julie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh.
